Our beautiful location offers a wide variety of choices of outings and activities all year round. There are wonderful forestry walks in the nearby Nature Reserve at Glen Affric and also at Plodda Falls. In the immediate vicinity it is possible to enjoy hill-walking, fishing, stalking, climbing, pony trekking, photography, cycling, golfing and bird watching. For the more adventurous, within a short drive there is kayaking, canoeing, snow boarding and skiing. Try white-water rafting at Glen Garry or abseiling at Fairburn. We are just 12 miles from Drumnadrochit where you can take a boat trip on Loch Ness or visit Glen Urquhart Castle, the art galleries and exhibition centres. Inverness is only a further 20 minutes journey where you will find a friendly city with wonderful shopping centres, swimming pools and many good places to eat or enjoy Highland culture and music. In the other direction, Beauly is well worth a visit. This quaint market town with lovely individual shops and craft centres also boasts exhibitions of bygone village life together with a gift/book shop and tourist information at the Beauly Centre. From Inverness you can take a Dolphin Cruise on the Moray Firth and spot Britain’s largest pod of bottlenose dolphins.
